INCOMING FRESHMAN 2027Sophie Reid made her SWPL1 debut for Hamilton at just 15 years old — a clear underline of her potential and how highly she is regarded. Composed and comfortable playing out from the back, with a genuine passing range, she can also operate in a midfield role, giving coaches real flexibility.
Alongside her football, Sophie carries a strong academic background, making her an ideal fit for the demands of the college pathway both on the pitch and in the classroom.
We believe there's no ceiling on what she can achieve — this move is about giving Sophie every opportunity to reach her full potential and her goals.
Player Bio
What sets Sophie apart is her football IQ and game understanding. She reads the game a level above her years, which is exactly what allows her to play out under pressure and dictate the tempo from the back rather than just defend.
That understanding was on full display when she made her SWPL1 debut for Hamilton at 15 — a level most players her age haven't come close to. Paired with her strong academic background, she's exactly the kind of composed, intelligent player who thrives in the structure of American college soccer.
