Owen Muirhead is a product of the Heart of Midlothian Academy set-up. no10 Futbol Pathway was invited into present to Hearts as part of an exit strategy for players, and Owen reached out directly afterwards — the start of a relationship that’s led to one of our most exciting signings yet.
After speaking to his coaches and watching a few of his games, it was clear Owen was someone we had to get on board at all costs. He’s now heading to Blinn College in Texas, where he’ll work under Coach Michael McBride — and we firmly believe he’ll become one of the best players in the entire college system.
We believe there’s no ceiling on what he can achieve — this move is about giving Owen every opportunity to reach his full potential and his goals.
What Sets Owen Apart
We believe Owen can go all the way to the top, and everything about how he plays backs that up. He’s a well rounded midfielder with good energy, covering every blade of grass while still finding the composure to be technically strong on the ball.
It’s the complete profile that makes him special — an aggressive ball-winner who can break up play, but also someone with a genuine eye for goal, arriving in the box to get on the end of chances. That balance of engine, aggression, and end product is rare, and it’s exactly why the American journey is the right next step for him.
